Situated in the picturesque Twine Valley, The Fisherman’s Retreat is the perfect location for the black-tie dinner which is attended by all of our wonderful Judges and Sponsors. With views overlooking the Pennines and surrounding areas, this idyllic venue really does capture the essence of this multi-award winning family run business.

Last year, a tasty dinner was served to our fabulous guests in the private function room whilst the talented magician Ian Lavin entertained us throughout the evening with his marvellous magic tricks. UK Croupier provided the casino tables which were also a big hit with our guests. The black-tie dinner is our way of thanking all of our Judges and Sponsors and we look forward to this taking place in 2021.

The Fisherman’s Retreat opened its doors in 1992 and what started off as a trout fishery has now evolved into a multi-functional restaurant, bar, wedding venue and luxury B&B. Their produce is sourced locally and freshly prepared on-site with the aim of delivering high-quality food for their customers. The Fisherman’s Retreat has a dedicated team of staff who are a huge contribution to the success of this thriving business.

At the 2019 MIBBA’s, The Fisherman’s Retreat were the winners of the Best in Class Food & Drink Award which they previously won in 2018. They also came Highly Commended in The Car Benefit Solutions Family Business Award and, to top the night off, Hervey Magnall, the owner of the Fisherman’s Retreat, won The Milliken Businessman of the Year Award. What a great achievement for all of the team.
