This Wednesday’s lucky winner of the Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is Tom Frankland from Nu-Form Fire UK with ticket number 21937.

What a lucky day for Tom as this ticket is one of the tickets bought by the company director – David Carswell. David is a brilliant boss and has bought a draw ticket for each of his team and allocated them their own ticket number. He only bought the tickets around 3 months ago so I guess we could call that beginners luck! Don’t we all wish we had a boss like David!

We had the pleasure of speaking to David on the phone and he said he could not have asked for a better winner and that it is fantastic news! We got David’s approval to go and surprise Tom at the office – socially distanced of course!

With a little help from his colleagues, armed with her face mask and the big cheque, Debi was let into the Nu – Form Fire UK by an off guard Tom who had been set up by his team mates to answer the door! Tom had actually been out on site today working down in Birmingham and not long arrived back in the office. When asked what he’s spending the money on his words were “not a clue!”, but his team definitely have other ideas and would like to be treated – Friday cakes in the office perhaps!

Tom was straight out of Bury College and into his current role as Trainee Designer at Nu – Form Fire UK and working under his manager Stephen, he designs sprinkler systems, puts in orders for materials and heads out and about for quotations. He’s been with the company for 12 months now and is working towards being a Project Manager.

Being the UK’s leading independent fire protection contractor, Nu – Form Fire UK operate in the UK and Europe and have contracts ranging from small modifications to existing systems, up to multi-million-pound installations.

Based on Manchester Road, Bury, Nu – Form Fire UK specialise in fire sprinkler, water spray, deluge and foam systems.
