Today’s winner of the Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is Wendy Dawson from H.H. Smith & Son’s Co. Ltd with ticket number 21364.

We had the pleasure of heading down to the office today to surprise Wendy in the office. With a little help from a colleague who was great at keeping a secret, Wendy had no idea we were coming down with the big cheque, and was in genuine shock when Phil told her she’d won the £2,000!

When asked what she’d spend the £2,000 on, Wendy said her partner has had quite a rough time lately so she’d love to take him somewhere nice when we are able to travel again. She will also be treating her team to a drink and cake in the office!

As we went to take a photo of Wendy with the big cheque she said this is the first time she’d ever won anything and she still couldn’t believe it!

Wendy works in the Accounts department at H.H. Smith & Son’s, a construction company based in Whitefield, so her usual day consists of processing sales ledgers, bank reconciliations and purchase orders. Wendy has been working for the company now for 7 years.

Founded by Herbert Harold Smith shortly after the Second World War, H.H. Smiths & Sons Co Ltd pride themselves on providing an innovative and high quality service since 1955. Throughout the years the family run company has established a sought-after reputation for supplying quality service and customer satisfaction whilst always maintaining their traditional value of workmanship.

Watch the moment we surpised Wendy here!

Congratulations again Wendy, it was a delight to surprise you today and see how much the win means to you! Thank you for supporting the draw, and you never know, we could be calling you again next Winning Wednesday!
