Darryl was surprised at his workplace, Job Centre Plus, today by Debi and Phil who presented him with his £2000 cheque!

Darryl is the day Janitor for Job Centre Plus, Bury, and has been in that role for just over 2 years. Darryl is responsible for making Job Centre Plus offices, workspaces and toilets clean, and also replenishes stock, housekeeping and responding to the needs of the staff who work there.

Job Centre Plus is a public sector service that provides people with the means of finding a job, in addition to other forms of support. They exist across the country and their basic services are open to everyone. They maintain a jobs database and can also help people find work locally. Additionally, Job Centre Plus can advise on skills training and other opportunities to improve skills and employability.

Darryl was happy to hear the news that he had won and said that his £2000 winnings will be spent on treating his fiancé, her daughter and their 18 month old son.  How lovely!
