Please join us in congratulating Julie Bentley who has won this week’s Weekly £2,000 Draw with ticket number 20703.

Today we surprised our second Weekly £2000 Draw winner of April, and this time it was Julie Bentley, from Prestwich and Whitefield GP Federation.

Julie is a Social Prescriber for Prestwich and Whitefield GP Federation and has been in that role since 2019. Julie's role involves helping people access non-medical support within the community. Whether it's signposting people to local support services or running drop-in centres and activities, such as local walks, Julie really helps to break down barriers for people who are struggling and supports with access to available services. 

Julie joined the Weekly £2000 Draw as a ticketholder in June 2018 and says that the reason why she joined was because, like her work, the Made In Bury Weekly £2000 Draw supports local people, as well as local businesses through our Business Academy. The Business Academy is an initiative that supports local businesses within their first few years of trading. Academy members receive invaluable access to local business mentors, training to support with growth and development, plus support and encouragement from a fantastic network of likeminded individuals. The Business Academy is funded through the tickets from the Weekly £2,000 Draw - which means, for every ticket sold, the proceeds go to support new businesses within our borough of Bury.

 Julie was elated to hear that she was this week's Weekly £2,000 Draw winner and said that both her and her partner have 'big birthdays' this year so they will be using the winnings to celebrate both birthdays in style!
