It’s the last draw of May and this week’s winner in the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw is Peter Allen with ticket number 21706. Congratulations.

Peter is one of the Directors at ISM Waste and Recycling, he has 2 tickets in the draw and has been in since December 2019. ISM are great advocates of the Weekly Draw, they have supported since the beginning with corporate tickets as well as many of the colleagues having individual tickets as well. We really appreciate their ongoing support and Peter is now the 4^th winner that they have had which is lovely.

We went to ISM in Ramsbottom on Kenyon Street to surprise Peter and with the help of Julie at ISM who we called beforehand to help with the surprise. When we turned up lots of colleagues were gathering to get ready for Peter’s special moment.

Leanne showed Peter the giant and said he was this weeks winner and the room erupted in cheers and applause. What’s uncanny is that it’s Peter’s 60^th Birthday tomorrow as well so this is a very lovely birthday present. He was in complete shock and lost for words that he’d won and kept asking if he was really the winner. Happy birthday from us all.

Peter is off glamping for a long weekend to celebrate his birthday and then Spain next week so he’s going to treat himself to a nice meal out with an extra glass of wine or two. Peter said that he’s thinking that the £2000 will go towards another holiday!

ISM are a family run business established in 1965 by John Allen (Snr) in Ramsbottom. The ISO quality assured company specialise in waste management and recycling of commercial, industrial and municipal waste streams, including the removal of machinery and scrap metal from factories.
