Baking Competition

Children can submit their cake for entry into Bury's baking competition where a high-profile panel of judges including Bury’s very own Slattery will assess it, based on certain criteria. The competition will be split into three categories, with the winner of each to be crowned:

1. Bury’s Infant School 2016 Baker of the Year (Under 7’s)

2. Bury’s Junior School 2016 Baker of the Year (Under 11’s)

The task will simply involve icing a cupcake. Each child is encouraged to bring in their most creative cupcake design to be assessed.

3. Bury's High School 2016 Baker of the Year. (Under 16’s)

The task will be to submit a home-made cake, (can be decorated or undecorated) baked from scratch.  This will be judged on both design and taste. Each child will need to bring their cake to be displayed for 12.00pm.

Judging will take place from 2.30pm and the winners will be announced approximately 4.00pm on the day. Each winner will win a fantastic prize donated by Slattery and a trophy, there will also be a trophy awarded to the school.

This is a great opportunity for all the little Paul Hollywood’s & Mary Berry’s out there!

playfootball.net Freestyle Football Skills Competition

playfootball.net will be hosting a freestyle football skills competition running from 10am – 3pm.

Each player will be given 60 seconds to perform the best tricks with a football using any part of their body.

The winners will be crowned…

1. Bury’s Infant School 2016 Freestyle Football Champion (Under 7’s)
2. Bury’s Junior School 2016 Freestyle Football Champion (Under 11’s)
3. Bury's High School 2016 Freestyle Football Champion (Under 16’s)

The winners will be announced at 3.00pm. 

Each winner will win a fantastic prize and a trophy, there will also be a trophy awarded to the school.
