Saturday 14th May was the launch of the first-ever North West’s Premier Lifestyle Fair, hosted by Made In Bury at the Castle Armoury Drill Hall.

The event ran from 10am until 4pm, with a jam-packed schedule which showcased some fantastic local community groups talents to the general public.

Starting the day with a huge energy boost, I Will If You Will hosted a loud, fun-filled Zumba class, which everybody could get involved with. After a quick break, Salle Kiss Fencing Club demonstrated their skills, before Freak Dance took to the stage with a performance involving dancers aged 6 to 23!

At lunchtime, Terryoke Entertainments hosted a children’s disco, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, with some classic pop songs from the Cha Cha Slide right to One Direction getting everybody up onto their feet. After the disco, the Acapeelers Choir performed some of their repertoire with tunes from across the world.

From 1pm to 2pm, Mecca Bingo hosted a range of Bingo games for all of the adults to get involved with, giving everybody the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes!

After the Bingo, Freak Dance returned to the stage with a musical performance of the Lion King, which they are entering into the World Championships in Austria, bringing a little bit of broadway to Bury. And if that wasn’t enough, Bury Gymnastics showcased their talents in a special routine they had been working on for the event, before Debra Simmons School of Dance took over for the big finale!

All in all, it was a fantastic day for the clubs to demonstrate their skills, and everyone who attended was astounded by the level of talent we have here in Bury!
