It was the last Winning Wednesday of September and the winner was Terence Hardman. Congratulations!

Terence’s lucky winning ticket number was 20749. He has been in the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw since June 2018 and purchased his ticket through his work, Slattery’s Pâtissier and Chocolatiers in Whitefield. Terence is the 9^th Winner from Slattery’s and the employees have over 40 tickets per week in the draw, it’s incredible to have their support, thank you.

We were hoping that we could go down to surprise Terence in person with the amazing news, so we rang John the owner to see if Terence was in. Unfortunately, he was off this week, so we had to give him a phone call instead.

When Leanne called, he was in complete shock that he’d won and was “gutted” to be off work as he’d have loved us to have gone down to surprise him with the giant cheque, but he was ecstatic to win regardless.

Terence has worked for Slattery’s for almost 12 years and is one of their talented cake decorators, as well as a supervisor of the cake room, what an incredible job.

Leanne always asks what the Wednesday Winner will spend the £2000 on and he’s thinking of going on a massive shopping spree and why not! Afterwards he told Leanne that he was discussing with his partner a few days ago of maybe getting another puppy, so this might be the sign to get one.
