December 12, 2018

On Wednesday 12th December we surprised the 32nd winner of the Made in Bury Business Draw. Congratulations to this week’s winner Julie Moran from ISM Waste & Recycling.

ISM Waste & Recycling is a waste management company that specialises in waste collection, disposal and recycling. The family run business was established in 1965 and now provides waste management services to over 300 customers including local authorities and large industrial companies.

We loved Julie’s reaction to our surprise visit! She didn’t acknowledge us immediately, despite carrying a huge cheque, and had to do a double take before realising she was this week’s £2,000 winner. Julie said she would spend her winnings on next year’s holiday - certainly something to look forward to in this cold weather! We can’t wait to find out what destination she chooses!

The Made in Bury Business Draw is a not for profit initiative that was set up to create funds for small businesses in the local area. The money raised from the draw goes towards the training and mentoring of start-up businesses through the Made in Bury Business Academy and will eventually allow us to offer interest free loans. Why not get in the spirit of giving this Christmas and help the Bury business community by joining the Business Draw? You never know, you could be our next winner!

Anyone that owns or works for a business in Bury can take part in the draw. We’ve also opened it up to friends and family! It costs just £2 a week to enter, and we give away a £2,000 cheque every Wednesday!

Next week, on 19th December, is our Christmas double draw! In order to increase everyone’s chances of winning in time for Christmas we have brought the Boxing Day draw forward a week, meaning we’ll be drawing two winners and giving away two £2,000 cheques! If you want to be involved in the double draw, there’s still time to enter. Simply contact hello@madeinbury.co.uk to find out how.

Congratulations again to Julie! You can watch the moment we surprised her here.
