It was the first Draw of November and this week’s winner in the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw was Vicki Jones who is the Director for Footlights Theatre in Bury, with lucky ticket number 21875, joining in May 2020. Congratulations!

When Leanne called Vicki and told her where she was from and explained it was Wednesday, she gasped with excitement before asking if she had actually won, we love surprising people each week.

Vicki moved to Bury from Manchester around 10 years ago and fell in love with the place, she said there’s a great community spirit and that people in Bury really help each other out, which is one of the reasons she’s in the Draw to help new businesses like herself.

She started Footlights in 2019, just before the pandemic. Times have been hard for the entertainment and performing arts industry and it’s great to hear that Vicki’s local stage school has grown from strength to strength. They offer classes stage school classes for 3 to 18 year olds, and the acting school classes in Tottington for 6 to 18 year olds. Vicki is hoping to put the £2000 towards a holiday as she hasn’t been a way for a few years.
