This week’s lucky winner of the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw was Ruth Atherton-Kelly with ticket number 22081. Ruth joined the Draw in October 2020 purchasing 3 tickets as she said that 3 is her lucky number and how true that now is.

We had the great pleasure of being able to go and surprise Ruth in person at her shop, Alternative Arrangements, in the heart of Ramsbottom. Ruth came out from the back of the shop to see Leanne holding the giant cheque with her name on it and screamed with joy knowing that she had won, while the other colleagues cheered and clapped with delight.

Ruth entered the Draw to support local businesses, like herself, and the fact that she has now won was a bonus, especially as Christmas is just around the corner. Previously based in Holcombe Brook, Alternative Arrangements moved to Ramsbottom almost 9 years ago and are on Bridge Street. She is extremely grateful for the Ramsbottom community for their continued support and for all those that shop local.

When Leanne asked Ruth what she would spend the £2000 on she said that she's going to treat her children and she is looking to buy her husband something extra special as he has been incredible this last year, looking after her and the family.
