Today we surprised our final Weekly £2000 Draw winner of March, and this time it was local driving instructor, Graham Evans, from Get Driving Today.

Graham, a local businessman from Radcliffe, is the owner of award-winning business, Get Driving Today. With a fully booked diary, and a waiting list of students, we knew that surprising Graham in his busy lesson schedule wasn't going to be easy... but, with the help of his daughter, Kerry Evans, who was a Made In Bury 2022/2023 Business Academy student, we succeeded - catching him between lessons for the grand reveal. 

Graham is a specialist driving instructor teaching those with extra high anxiety along with dyspraxia, dyslexia and those on the autistic spectrum. Get Driving Today was set up in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength, winning multiple awards and commendations including 5 awards in the Made In Bury Business Awards and achieving 'Highly Commended' in the Best in Class - Motoring and Transport in 2019. 

When we surprised Graham with the news that he was this week's Weekly £2000 Draw winner he was delighted and said that he got married to his lovely wife, Lynette, last month and are due to set sail on their honeymoon cruise to Monaco in May. Graham said that his £2,000 winnings will be used as some extra spending money to make their honeymoon even more special.

Graham first joined the Weekly £2000 Draw in 2018 to help support local start-up businesses and has seen first-hand the benefit of our ticket sales with the support that the Business Academy has provided for his daughter's start-up business which has thrived as a direct result of the support received from Made In Bury.
