This week’s winner of The Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is Ben Farnworth. Ben bought his ticket via SuperJosh and when we called SuperJosh to find out where we could locate him, we were told he was on holiday in Venice. As much as we would have loved to venture to Venice to deliver the cheque, we surprised Ben on the phone and that’s when we found out he had returned from his holiday last night. So we invited Ben down to our office to collect his £2,000 cheque.

Ben is a teacher at Elton High School and has been there for almost a year. Ben teaches computing and is also the Enrichment Co-ordinator which helps get the students involved with activities in the local community. He is also setting up Media Studies at the school.

Ben has volunteered with SuperJosh for 3 years and has taken part in the 36-mile charity walk. This year he will be participating in Walk to the Wards, delivering gifts to the children and families to hospitals in the Greater Manchester area. Ben attended the MIBBA’s 2018 as a guest of SuperJosh and bought his ticket at the event as he wanted to help support local start-up businesses and give back to the community.

Ben is going to spend the money on a holiday during the Easter break and will also start his wedding and house fund.
