The winner of the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw for December 29^th is David Pope with lucky ticket number 20255. David has been in the Draw since the very beginning, and we want to thank him for his support.

We found out that David worked for Persona Care and Support off Wellington Road in Bury. So, we jumped in the car and drove down to see if we could catch David and surprise him. After meeting all the wonderful staff at Persona, we sadly found out that David was working from home, so we called him to let him know that he was the Winner for the 29^{th of} December Draw. He was absolutely stunned and overjoyed, especially winning just before Christmas.

David has been with Persona for almost 13 years and is their Health & Safety Building Compliance Trainee Officer. Although we couldn’t meet David in person, it was an absolute delight that we were able to meet David’s Grandad, Stan, who was visiting Persona for the day, along with all the lovely staff who were there and kept Davids’ win a secret until we could call him. David is looking to treat himself and his girlfriend to a holiday as they haven’t been away in a few years due to Covid.

Persona have been around for almost 40 years looking after day visitors in the Bury area. They deal with a wide range of people and abilities, offering a huge variety of activities for the visitors to enjoy. They have continued to work throughout the Pandemic and have never closed, so here at Made in Bury we want to say a big thank you for all your kind work in ensuring that people have a place to go and aren’t lonely in these difficult times.
