Happy New Year everyone! The first winner of 2022 in the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw is Danielle Vickers, congratulations!

Danielle’s lucky ticket number was 20794. She has 2 tickets per week in the draw and has been in since the very beginning, joining via JD Sports who she has worked for since she was 17. Thank you so much for your ongoing support.

We couldn’t go down to JD in Pilsworth with the giant cheque, as we found out that Danielle wasn’t in this week, so we surprised her by calling and what a complete shock it really was. When Danielle answered the phone to Leanne, she was stunned that she’s won and couldn’t believe it. She joined the Weekly £2000 Draw after seeing a poster in the kitchen community area at work and thought it was worth doing.

Danielle first started with JD in a retail store where she worked for 8 years before moving to head office where she is now a Junior Space Planner on the Merchandising Team. Also, Danielle is currently on an apprenticeship with JD Sports and studying BSc (Hons) Retail Business Management at the University of Bolton. The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship is an exciting work-based route towards developing professionally competent Chartered Managers. Danielle said that JD Sports are an incredible company to work for and have been really supportive throughout her career.

Danielle and her partner have decided to move into a new place together so the £2000 couldn’t have come at a better time for her and will go towards the deposit to the new place. We wish you all the best in your new home and for 2022.

JD Sports are known as a global sports-fashion company, but they started in Bury back in 1981, celebrating their 40th anniversary last year. Congratulations.
