Today’s winner of the Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is Stephen Barnes from Slattery Patisserie in Whitefield with ticket number 20730.

We called John Slattery first just to check if Stephen was working and fortunately he was. As John made his way up to the kitchen to pass the phone over, Stephen was busy taking hot food out of the oven for the lunchtime service. When we delivered the good news, he was delighted to have won £2,000.

Stephen has worked at Slattery's for 42 years and is married to John Slattery’s Daughter. Stephen will be treating his wife to something nice and will also celebrate by going out for a nice meal in Prestwich.

Slattery's are huge supporters of the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw and we've had several winners from the business. They understand the importance of the draw and the help it gives to local businesses in the borough through the Business Academy.

During Covid-19, Slattery’s had to temporarily close but they are back open for business and continue to make tasty treats for all of their wonderful customers. When we have paid a visit to Slattery to surprise previous winners, we usually treat ourselves to a little something sweet. Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to surprise our winners in person so we are a tad upset not to have a sweet treat in the office.

The Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is a not for profit initiative and costs just £2 a week to enter. The funds raised from the draw go towards supporting start-up businesses in Bury.

There are only 2,400 tickets available and for just £2 per ticket per week, you have a chance to WIN £2,000 every Wednesday.
