Who will win the Environmental Impact Award at the Made in Bury Business Awards 2021?
H.H. Smith and Sons Co Ltd have Sponsored the Environmental Impact Award at the MIBBA’s continuously since 2015, we thank them for their continued support in this very important aspect of business awareness.
The H.H. Smith and Sons Environmental Impact Award is designed to :
Recognise the businesses that have made an outstanding contribution to reducing their or others environmental impact,
Can demonstrate links between business success and their environmental initiatives,
Can demonstrate a sustained commitment to reducing the environmental impact of their own business or the business of others,
Can identify a clear strategy for maintaining a commitment to the business’s environmental initiatives in the future.
Independent judges will assess the company’s endeavours against these criteria.
High environmental standards and an innovative approach to improving them is to the benefit of us all. Cleaning rivers and open spaces, working hard to recycle unwanted materials and disposal of waste responsibly is part of the strategy for making our community safer and healthier. That businesses act proactively by design to become greener is not only socially responsible, but it is also highly cost effective.
