After much anticipation and entries across all categories of the highest standard, the finalists for the 2016 Made in Bury Business Awards can be revealed.

The Made in Bury Business Awards (MIBBAs), now in their fourth year, are delivered by Made in Bury Limited in partnership with Bury Council, thebestofbury and Tower FM to champion local businesses and celebrate their outstanding achievements.

A total of 108 businesses made the short list for the awards across 18 categories. All entries were of a very high standard and categories such as ‘Best in Class Start-up Business’ and ‘Best in Class Community Impact’ hit a record number of entries.

All shortlisted businesses attended a meet and greet session on 14th October at The Longfield Suite in Prestwich when they were given their moment to impress the panel of judges with a presentation and by taking part in a question and answer session.

The judging panel had the extremely difficult task of selecting the final three businesses to go forward as finalists in each of the 18 categories.  With the high standard of entries across all categories, this task was particularly tough.

Councillor Rishi Shori, leader of Bury Council said:

“Supporting business is a key priority for Bury Council and the MBBAs are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the commitment and achievement of local businesses. The task of judging so many dedicated, inspirational and entrepreneurial business people was an extremely difficult one and I’d like to congratulate everyone that entered.  The competition is now in its final stage and I wish the very best of luck to each of the finalists and look forward to December when we will celebrate their dedication.”

Made in Bury would like to congratulate this year’s finalists and look forward to welcoming them at the Black tie Awards ceremony on the 1st December 2016.
