Since forming the Made in Bury Business Awards back in 2013, we have come across a variety of niche industries that are successful not just in Bury, but throughout the world. An excellent example of this is GJ Plastics Ltd.

GJ Plastics design and manufacture a vast range of display and signage products to a very high standard. Their signs and display products are made in their state of the art factory in Radcliffe, Bury.

The company has an installation team to install the produced signage if required and are members of the British Sign and Graphics Association, longstanding members of the FSB and Chamber of Commerce.

GJ Plastics are proud to be a preferred supplier to the BBC and have produced products for ITV, Google, and Premiership football clubs, Rugby world championships, a Formula 1 Grand Prix team, Wimbledon and many other companies throughout the world.

GJ Plastics have an enviable reputation for designing and manufacturing quality display stands, for the magazine, retail and exhibition sectors, making them desirable across the globe. Servicing the UK and Ireland, GJ Plastics products have been purchased by clients across the world, from Australia to Dubai, USA, China to India, Europe, and even Cape Verde.

However, did you know they are also firm believers of backing young Bury? Pioneers in creating a borough that strives create well-educated children but also children that can grow up with work based skills. GJ Plastics are members of the Skills Pledge and have also trained and taken on many apprenticeships throughout the years. Seeing a number develop and become full time team members within the company.

 Skills Pledge is a voluntary public commitment from employers, to encourage and support their employees while improving their skills and gaining qualifications. At the core of the Skills Pledge is a commitment to help those employees who need to learn skills to at least a level 2 in literacy, numeracy and other relevant qualifications for their position.

GJ Plastics also design and create the Made in Bury Business Awards trophies. So we were overjoyed when they became involved with the Made in Bury Business Awards in 2015 and since then have become the proud sponsors of The GJ Plastics Retailer Award.
