Ben started Doggydude in 2017 after spending 12 months deciding about what to do with the rest of his career.

He has always had a way with dogs and is able to read and talk to them on a different level than most. After deciding to become a dog walker Ben went on a psychology course and that opened his eyes into how he understand how and what the dogs are saying.

This became his path and dream to help dogs with behaviour issues. Ben started the dog walking business and that took off and has been very successful over the years employing staff to help walk the dogs. Ben worked with Bury College and their Find A Job Scheme which helps people with hidden learning or mental disabilities that would struggle to hold down a job due to being nervous and struggling with human interaction. These boys are awesome with the dogs and Ben believes they help each other.

Now the dog walking is doing well Ben wants to get back to doing what he loves and that is helping people and their dogs get a better understanding of each other. He havs recently launched Doggydude Pack website which will be a dedicated website for anyone with dog behaviour issues, sessions are online or in person. Dog Behaviour Modification can be very expensive, and Ben wants to make it attenable to as many people and their problem pooches as possible.

As a Dispensing Optician for over 20 years when Covid hit I decided to set up mobile so I could go out into the community and dispense fantastic glasses and look after general eyecare needs. Many people just prefer the personal touch and the flexibility of having a home visit or popping over to me at a time that’s convenient for them. I also offer pop-ups at the office, salon, coffee shop…...I’ve even dispensed glasses in a car park!

Footlights Bury is a stage school for children aged 3 to18 years. We opened our doors on APRIL 27 2019 with a fantastic open day at our base at Bury Grammar School. Our stage school operates every Saturday in term time from 9.45 to 1pm – Tinys (ages 3 to 6) are taught the foundations of acting, singing and dance through games, activities, role play, song and storytelling.  Ages 7 to 18 are taught in our main school. In April 2019, we presented our first show to an audience of 100 family and friends – The Greatest Showman. In October 2019 we launched two new sessions, Acting on a Monday evening at Woodhey High School for ages 6 to 16 and a Sunday evening ladies choir.

Warren Senior started his business up part time at first, in-between having another job in summer 2015. Eventually building it up and becoming busy enough to leave in January 2017 and solely concentrate on Senior Waste Removals.

We can quite often beat any skip price depending on the waste, and we do all the loading, making it much more affordable and less hassle for our customers.

We currently offer several different boxes, and more recently we released our “build a box” which allows people to choose exactly what goes in their boxes. No box is more than £20 unless we are doing special seasonal boxes, such as Christmas, which went down a treat in 2016 – and for quality and quantity, we are pretty sure you would struggle to beat it! Military Standard Training were founded in September 2016 with the aim of utilising the skills, qualities, knowledge and experience of former Armed Forces personnel to deliver our range of training programmes.

We offer Armed Forces Preparation programmes to 16-24 year olds in order to develop key skills and attributes required to join the Armed Forces. We also offer Alternative provision to secondary school pupils utilising a military Ethos approach to help re-align behaviours and to help young people re-engage with academic studies.

Bury Council Adult Care Services stepped out from Bury Council at the end of September 2015 and 371 staff were transferred on TUPE arrangements to Persona. Senior Managers set up Persona Care and Support Ltd in October 2015 as a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo).

Relax Kids Bury was launched in June 2015, by Aislinn Marek.  A Relax Kids coach and qualified counsellor (MBACP), she has a wealth of experience in children's mental health and education, having worked for over 15 years in schools, with CAMHS, hospitals and in the community. 

Relax Kids Bury offers fun activity classes for children.  Sessions follow the Relax Kids’ award-winning 7 step approach, consisting of movement and exercise, mindfulness and relaxation games, stretching, peer or self-massage, breathing techniques, affirmations and visualisations.  Classes are based upon imaginative themes and gently introduce children to simple and fun mindfulness tools that can be used in all areas of their lives.  

The film is applied to the areas that would get the most wear and tear, and whilst it can’t protect the bike in any major accidents, it can help the paint work to continue looking almost as good as the day you bought it!  When you eventually come to remove it – You can peel it back to reveal a bike that’s almost certainly worth more than it would have been if you hadn’t chosen to protect it with Shack Wrap!

"Shooting Stars Football Academy was founded by Richard Law, an FA qualified coach, and former member of Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers academies. As a passionate coach and football fan, he was frustrated by the distinct lack of high quality coaching provided to Bury’s children both in schools and at local clubs. Natalie Qureshi is a Natal Hypnotherapy practitioner who teaches hypnobirthing and relaxation techniques to pregnant women, helping them manage pain and reduce anxieties during pregnancy and birth. 

Courses are run for women and their birth partners and can be taken as a group workshop or private sessions. Hypnobirthing is increasingly welcomed within the NHS, with many midwives and doctors recognising the benefits.

Natalie also offers doula support to women during birth which offers practical, physical and emotional preparation during pregnancy and labour.

A fully qualified hypnotherapist, Natalie previously worked in economic consultancy for a number of years.  She has strong links with the undergraduate midwifery degree at Manchester University and lectures to student midwives at Manchester and Salford universities as well as acting as a lay assessor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Balloons by Design is a new local bespoke balloon décor business for Birthdays, Weddings, Christenings, Celebrations and Corporate Events.  

With over 15 years experience within the "celebration industry" and a passion to help people celebrate their special occasions, I wanted to develop a business that was dedicated to offering a unique decoration service with a friendly but always professional approach.
