The Made in Bury Business Academy was launched in 2016 and provides start-up businesses in Bury with the support they need in the challenging early years. Survival rates for start-ups that have access to well run programmes providing Coaching, Mentoring and a support network are significantly higher than the National statistics.

We are very proud to say that since its launch, the Business Academy has helped 144 Bury start-ups

The programme is funded by the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw, a not-for-profit initiative, licensed by Bury Council, which will soon be providing Interest Free Loans to Bury businesses as well. Watch this space for further announcements!

We are looking for up to 20 new start-up businesses to join our 2024/25 Group, starting in September 2024 and running until July 2025, the group meets twice a month, 10am - 12 midday (Mainly the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month.)

The course will be Classroom style meetings at our Sponsors HQ, BusinessLodge in the centre of Bury.

We will be hosting a Discovery Meeting on June 11th, 6-7pm at BusinessLodge Bury, new start up businesses are invited to come along and find out more about the Academy, meet our Patrons and Mentors and also hear what our current members have to say about the course.
